Technical Rider

This rider is based on the conditions that would be most ideal for us if the band is not providing the sound system themselves.

If, in practice, the necessary equipment or resources are not available to meet the band’s technical requirements, please let us know in good time. We are happy to discuss the situation and find a suitable solution together.

3. Technical Requirements

Gradalicious will bring their own backline, consisting of:

  • Drum kit (unless agreed in advance that one is already available at the venue)
  • Double bass amplifier
  • Keyboard + synthesizer

Sound Requirements

The drum kit must be connected to the PA system using microphones.

The keyboard requires a minimum of 2 x jack outputs (stereo), which must be connected to a DI box. The electronic Hammond organ also requires 2 x jack outputs.

The bass amplifier must be connected via 1 x XLR and has its own DI box.

The wind instruments, namely flute and clarinet, require a microphone and microphone stand. Clip-on microphones are not required.

The saxophone is equipped with a wireless microphone transmitter/receiver system.

The vocalist is also equipped with a wireless transmitter/receiver system.

The PA system, provided by the organiser, must be of good quality and have sufficient power for the venue. The audience must be provided with clear, high-quality, undistorted sound appropriate for the above-mentioned line-up.

The PA system includes all equipment other than the musical instruments.

The PA system includes, among other things:

  • External loudspeakers
  • Mixing console
  • Sound engineer, who must be present throughout the performance

Within a reasonable distance of the stage, there must be two separate, clean power circuits, each providing 16 amps at 220 volts, with proper earthing. All electrical installations must comply with applicable government regulations and safety requirements.

Lighting

Stage lighting must be provided. This may be simple or more extensive, depending on the client’s preferences.

The requirements stated above may be adjusted by mutual agreement.

Gradalicious will never make technical decisions independently, but will always consult with the client. The client remains responsible for and serves as the point of contact for all matters relating to the sound system, unless the sound system is provided by Gradalicious themselves.
